If you are occupying your space after the due date, a full month's payment is required. We kindly ask that payments be made on time to avoid any late fees. Auctions are a legal way to clear out a storage unit if a customer hasn't paid their rent. We follow all local and state laws when conducting auctions, and any money made goes towards the overdue balance. If there's any extra money, we'll send you a check. But if the auction funds don't cover what you owe, your account may go to collections. We really don't like having to do auctions, so let's work together to avoid it. It's best for both of us to come to an agreement and avoid all the hassle and cost of an auction. If you're falling behind on payments, please reach out so we can sort things out quickly. Let's skip the auction and find a solution that works for everyone!

We make sure to abide by state laws when it comes to late payments and liens on accounts that are severely overdue. In many states, a late fee is enforced 5 days after the due date and unit access will be restricted. Some states may also impose an additional late fee 20 days after the due date if no payment is received. If a payment is more than a month overdue, the account will enter a "lien" status, leading to additional fees to cover legal expenses. In this status, all payments must be made in person at the store office with cash, money order, or certified check. We understand that accessing your online account may sometimes be challenging, but your normal payment due date still applies.
